I know they`re probably a bit long in the tooth now, they were the
cheapies ebuyer had about 3 years ago...

Mine has just stopped letting me connect to Steam to play Half Life
after 3 years without a hitch - now while I consider this to be a
problem with Steam itself, I was able to borrow a wireless router and
it connected fine.

I`m not the only one with the problem, but there`s a chance they`ve
done something weird with their code that stops it working correctly.

Has anyone ever updated the firmware on it, and was it successful ?

IIRC it was also known as a Micronet SP3352 - but they appear to have
disappeared off the face of the earth now... (although I was able to
download the firmware from one of the driver websites)
