I don't know what it is that you think you're asking, but there are many
pieces of monitoring software out there. I use Nagios,
http://www.nagios.org , which I like quite a bit. The 1.x docs have a
list of other products, as well:

Perhaps if you specified exactly what you're trying to do, you'll get
more specific answers.
