I've received an email from AOL about having my connection speed
upgrading 1MBit to 2MBit:
"You may remember that we wrote to you recently with good news about
your AOL Broadband Silver download speed, which is being upgraded from
up to 1Mbps to a faster connection of up to 2Mbps* as a thank you for
your loyalty.
It is taking a little longer than we hoped to carry out the upgrade. We
expect to complete all speed upgrades in August and September.
And you don’t have to do a thing. Better still, it won't cost you a
penny more."
What's odd is that I already sync with my exchange at 2MBit, and always
have done since I joined AOL in December 2006.
For the first few days after I joined AOL my throughput was also 2MBit,
but then halved to 1MBit (which is what it should have been).
