AOL Silver ADSL Router Problems

Hello All

I am currently trying to set up a router to share a ADSl connection. It is
ADSL- BT , i have bought a router(Mentor) that has a built in ADSL Modem.
The service is owned by AOL !

I have the routers ADSL modem working correctly and allows a connection, i
can open IE6 and it works on the net but things like MSN Messenger, Yahoo
Messenger and java content will not work !!!! So i then open the AOL Client
and log in - user name and pass , and use the aol console and i am able to
go anything i want !! Except MSN Messenger !!!

Whats going on here ! Are aol trying to get people to user there content ,
the router allows PPOE and PPOA - I think thats it ! Which is best here to
get things moving along smoothly ,

Nope, what you need to do is to setup your router's MTU to 1400, the same
goes to your PC and everything should be alright after that. It is
documented somewhere, google for it.
