AOL Broadband Query

Greetings
My mate is trying to set up Aol Broadband using A BT Voyager 100 usb modem
but as yet cant get it to work.
He has installed software etc but still no joy
His modem has three lights on it-Power,DSL,Data and the only one that
lights up is the power
Should the DSL also light up even if the software etc was not installed he
seems to think the modem might be knackered but AOL are trying to blame
everything but their equipment.
Any info will be GREATLY appreciated

If you are talking about a USB modem (do AOL use anything else??) then
you will need the full install of the drivers before you will be able
to see the DSL led & as for the data led that should only be active
when you are passing data.

So the answer to your question is depending on what bits of the
software your friend has installed will depend on which leds will
light up....

Sorry it does sound as if your friend hasn't installed the drivers
correctly...
