Hello...
I'm trying to get my aunt up and running with AOL Broadband. Everything is
installed and set up correctly as far as I can tell. However, the connection
only holds for a few moments before dropping, and Windows XP displays a
message along the lines of "a network cable is unplugged". Then, after a few
moments of that nonsense, it connects again for a few moments, before
disconnecting and displaying the "a network cable is unplugged" message
again! This behaviour is repeated over and over again. I've checked and
double checked everything. All phone/fax etc. points in the house have
microfilters. The cables are correctly fitted and secure. The modem drivers
(it's a BT Voyager 100) and software are installed and working fine. Aside
from perhaps downloading the latest drivers for the Voyager modem, I really
can't think of anything else.
Does anyone know the cause and solution to this problem? Thanks!
Gary
