Planning an upgrade to windows 2003 AD from a simple NT 4.0 domain. It's a
mix of windows 98, windowsme and xp pro clients. Should I configure anything
different on the windows 98 or windows me clients for the 2003 logon process
to work? What problems can I anticipate on those clients that I will need to
resolve ahead of time. They rely on WINS rite now for resource resolution, of
course DNS will be the primary resolution due to AD being installed.Any
suggestions on tools or hotfixes appreiciated. This way I can avoid least
amount of downtime. Thanks.

Derek

Windows 9x/ME works better if you keep your WINS Servers around. It's quite
painless for DNS and WINS to coexist for some time.

If you're going to use native w2k3-mode you will need to install a AD client
for 9x/ME.
