I'm thinking of buying the Belkin all-in-one ADSL modem and WiFi unit,
but I can't find any reviews. The other possibility is the Netgear DG834G,
but I've heard of a few problems with that. The Belkin model has WPA
encryption too.

I've been having loads of problems with this router. From not being
able to send emails with Outlook via smtp to the wireless network
disapearing and not coming back. The MTU settings of the router aren't
compatible with anything else and the only fix seems to be to change
the MTU of your computer - not on the router... DUH!

I've spent days trying to set one up and still haven't managed... I
would avoid this router like the plague. Whatever hapened to pnp?

Thanks for the reply. I'd forgot to monitor this group for a while, so only just
notice the reply.

I've already gone ahead and bought a DG834G. So far it seems to be doing
fairly well. I get the "disappearing wireless" thing, but I bet that's because
all these routers are based on Linux, and there's a bug in that implementation
at the moment.

The DG834G has a strange restriction with port forwarding, in that you
can forward a port to a computer on your network, but you have to use the
same port number, so e.g., you couldn't forward <internet address>:8080
to <local address>:80
