My brother is on NTL cable broadband. Since they upgraded to 10MB, he's
experienced intermittent connections. Tonight, it seems to have died
altogether. Anyone had a similar problem? He's in the Berkshire area.

Just checking incase the problem is at his end.

Just wondering if anyone might be on a dial-up backup if the lot has gone
down :-)

Thanks.

I used to be when in Nottingham. The NTL service status pages are
pretty up to date so check there first.

I've been with Cable London, bought out by Telewest, N4 area for years.
The whole area has been operating at 10kbits 3rd world modem speed
for the past 6 weeks on a supposedly 10mbit service. Fucking 'ell!!!
Its a 35 quid a month service. Management doesn't seem to know
how to fix even simple little problems or fill their franchise
contract obligations and still they get themselves a pat on the back as
a so called leading service provider.

I hear www.bethere.co.uk will be operating a 24mbit service in London N4
area in February for a lot less with 1mbyte uplink speed compared
to the 348kbyte max uplink speed... hehehehe... we shall soon see...
