This has been a long time frustration of mine with Windows networks.

I have yet to find a way to tell which workstation a user is currently
logged into.
Has anyone out there solved this or found something I've just overlooked for
so long? Perhaps a script?

One ghetto way of seeing who is logged in is installing realvnc on the
workstation, and physically looking to see who is logged in.

My guess is that you are less than serious.

Not exactly what I had in mind. We have a few hundred computers and I would
need to VNC to every single one.

Not to mention the phone calls about uncontrolled mouse movements

1) Use "psloggedon" from http://www.sysinternals.com

2) If NetBIOS is enabled on both yours and the remote computer, run a
ping -a against the remote PC then run "nbtstat -a <ip address of remote
computer>" to see the NetBIOS table of the remote PC. One of the entries is
the currently logged on user IF a user is actually logged on.

3) The Symantec System Center console (enterprise app) and most application
deployment consoles such as Altiris and SMS will also tell you this
information.
