I'm afraid if you want quality, you got to pay for it. This is why the
2600 is expensive. It's a excellent bit of kit thou, and worth the
extra money, especially if you need the VPN stuff...

It is only just 140 GBP from places like DSL Warehouse.

If you are desperate to save some cash the maybe the 2500 would do the job
for you?

Few quid cheaper at http://www.dslsource.co.uk so I guess nowhere can beat
their price.
