Any hope for WPA with MN500?

I have a 802.11b generation wireless NIC that will support
WPA (Dell Truemobile 1150).

Now I'm hoping that my MN500, much less than a year old,
will be firmware patched to support WPA as well. When I
picked it up last fall, the MN700 was not on the market
yet and I had not even heard of 802.11x and WPA.

Is there any news on this topic?

The MN500 was released in Sept-Oct 2002. At that time, WPA wasn't even on
the radar.

Most routers released in and around that time from other manufacturers don't
support WPA or have no upgrade path to WPA. I wouldn't hold my breath
hoping for WPA support in the MN500 either.
