Any Conflict-Free Firewalls

I tried one firewall program ("Checkit")for a week and had to
uninstall it. It conflicted badly with Earthlink Accelerator and with
Verizon's "Mobile Office" Software, and seemed not to get along with
Windows XP's ""Standby" mode at all.

I'd love to hear about others' experience with Firewall programs. Are
some 'generally' more free of conflicts with other software?

Thanks

Zone Alarm Free works well for me. I'm inside a NAT router, so I'm more
concerned with catching outbound traffic I didn't expect than stopping
inbound traffic. Also, I don't wade through logs and try to track down
sources of 'attacks' and the like. If that's something you want to do, I'd
look for something else.

I've also had excellent results with the free Zone Alarm version. Had to
take the security setting down to medium on both my desktop and wireless
laptop to get everything running and talking like it should, but no
complaints...

Agnitum Outpost seems wot work OK. I used to use Zonealarm, but fell
foul of various minor but irritating conflicts
