If your computer was infected by a virus, running behind the base station
firewall, what was the source and name of the virus? With the firewall on,
the most likely scenario was the user initiated the access. Once on your
side of the firewall, a virus can do whatever it wants. That's one of the
reasons Windows XP SP2 furnishes an additional firewall to protect the
machines from each other.
