I've got it working, at last, after great help from the Tech Support
people at D-Link.

The details of what I needed are at....

http://www.arunet.co.uk/tkboyd/hh3s.htm

I'm happy that it is a good product, but it takes only a little mistake
by the user to mess things up!

Tom

Ah, the trusty MTU problem! I'm surprised that the likes of that,
Multimode, VC encapsulation and VPC of 0 38 (or more accurately VPI 0 VCI
38) aren't default in all ADSL equipment sold in the UK, I'm sure it would
save a lot of users' headaches.

You mention that one should use 4.2.2.2 and 4.2.2.3 as DNS servers - are
these DNS servers specifically stated to be for public use? One should not
use another ISP's DNS (or other) servers unless they're provided publicly
or you're paying them for the service, otherwise it's can be considered rude.

Your router should get its service provider's DNS servers automatically,
and if you leave any host PC's DNS server addresses blank, or with the
router's IP address, things should work fine.

Good of you to put the advice up on the web for any other poor souls :-)

Cheers,

Adam Piggott,
