Jeremy, thanks for your response.
I think I've gotten closer. I found something called a security wizard after
hours of searching. I installed and ran it, and it fixed many of the issues I
was having. This is hard. Hidden answers like this are difficult for me to
ferret out, but I'm not giving up. Your answer was very helpful.
