All my connections aren't working!!!

Ever since I bought, connected and configured my
Ethernet PCI card and Router\Modem, all of my connections
have been playing up! My printer only prints when i turn
it off and then back on, my Broadband connection is
unreliable to say the least, and my removable hard drive
devices (Digital Camera and MP3 Player which are both USB)
only work when i plug them in before i start up my PC!!!
