Go over to part15.org and subscribe to the smartBridges list. You'll get
covered up in information. Probably not much about the XO's, as I think
they haven't actually arrived at U.S. distributors yet. Basically
they're an airPoint PRO Outdoors with bandwidth management built in for
the XO, make that two airPoint PRO Outdoors in one box for the XO2.

thanks roger i appreciate your help,

i did some research on the product and uptill now i havent found any
bad reviews can you give me some insight on the products since uve
installed them? (found a older post)

will they work in a urban city environment? (few buildings cluttered
here and there)

does the signal penetrate through walls easily?

is the 900mhz hardware (waverider) better at covering large spaces?

whats the average cost of a airpont XO?

thank you.

These airPoint Pros I'm using have been absolutely great. They work over
the distances I need (about 2-3 miles tops) and are actually pretty much
rock-steady. Not everyone has had such good experience, but for me they
have been a great choice. I don't recommend any 802.11b equipment for
penetrating walls, that's more for 900MHz, but 900MHz costs more and
will not work over as great a distance as 802.11b given that everything
else is equal. I don't know the cost of XO's since I've not bought one
and I don't think they're even available quite yet.
