What a flurry of posts, huh? Here's what I've done:
If I go into the "Network and Dial-Up Connections" and
click on the LAN's propertiesand then go to the TCP/IP
properties and ask Windows to automatically obtain the IP
address and the DNS address, and then go back to the "cmd,
ipconfig" thing, it gives me:
Connection-specific DNS Suffix .:
IP Address......................: 0.0.0.0
Subnet Mask.....................: 0.0.0.0
Default Gateway.................:
I'm still in the ad hoc mode on the broadband utility >
tools > adapter settings > configure screen.
