ADSL24 - Activation fee?

Hi, I'm thinking of moving to ADSL24, perhaps on the Office-45
package. I can see that they do free migrations, but I would be taking
their service on a different phone line. Do they make a charge for new
activations? What if I have ADSL already, in the same location, but on
a different line. Can I switch lines without paying a start-up fee?

Thanks for any advice.

I wouldn't advise moving to ADSL24.

I tried when my excahnge was upgraded to WBC/Adsl2+. I never got the
Adsl2+ I ordered, after my first complaint that the line was not correct
I was moved to a connection that ran at a max of about 500Kb/s. When I
tried to get this fixed my connection was cut completely. So I ended up
with no internet at all for 8 days until while I waited to migrate to a
competent ISP.

They are sellers of Entanet, you should check Forums etc. for reports on
their performance.

Thanks to everybody for the replies. Perhaps I over-complicated the
question. My question is really simple.

- Do ADSL24 make a charge for new activations? If so, how much?

I know I could phone them, but I won't be able to do this for a few
days, and I was hoping to find out sooner.

Thanks.

ADSL24 pass the activation fee that BT charges straight on to you.

You'd have to ask. One of the divisions of BT will certainly make a charge
but whether a retailer absorbs that charge or passes it on to you is at
their discretion.

Correct! I managed to phone them, and they confirmed that the charge
is £40 + VAT = £46 total.

Thanks for the help.

I'm with ADSL24 and it's gone downhill rapidly.
My 5 meg speed is now down to 1 meg.
Basically it's crap.
Avoid at all costs!

I was with ADSL24 they resell from Entanet, ADSL24 are ok it is the product
they are selling that is the problem.
Before going to Entanet check what others say in the various BB Forums.
I left for same reason as Newbie.
I was with them 3 months and all the time I thought it can't get worse and
it did!
Thankfully I was on a one month contract, moved the Be LLU speeds very
steady and costs less.
