Hi,

I ordered KCorp Wireless Router (KLS6615) from CPC..

It has Ethernet Port whereas Tiscali has provided me Sagem ADSL Modem
with USB cable..

KCorp Wireless Router does not have USB Port and ADSL Modem doesn't
have Ethernet port..

I was trying to find out a connector with USB (Female) (Where ADSL
Modem USB will fit) and Ethernet Jack (Male) which can fit in Wireless
Router Ethernet Port.

Does anybody know any cheapest way wherein I can use my old USB ADSL
Modem as well as new KCorp Wireless Router with Ethernet Port..

I got this device on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d..._promot_widget

But I heard that there is no device which can convert USB signal into
Ethernet because USB and Ethernet are incompatible.

Please let me know what can be done.

Regards,
Jaydeep

Can't be done.

USB uses the resources of the computer and it is not just a question of
converting the signals.

The moral of this story is, unfortunately, to do your research before you
buy. You cannot connect the Sagem to the KCorp. You have a choice of buying
a combined ADSL Modem/Wireless router or buying an ADSL modem with ethernet
ports that you can connect to the computer and the KCorp.

You need one with more than a single port. It is unwise not to have NAT or a
hardware firewall.

Hi Jaydeep

You can use this D-Link OK with the K Corp router, just connect the ethernet
port on the router to the WAN port on the KLS6615 with an ethernet cable
(you may need a x-over) - job done.

My apologies Jaydeep. I understood the KCorp was oinly a single port. Thanks
to Rob L. for correcting me.

In the past various people have commented on linking the DSL-300T
to other equipment (mostly having problems). I'd suggest you do
a search at http://groups.google.com/ for that. I've never the
think, just know some people wanted to have a straight modem and
no router. Personally, I think they were asking for trouble :->
