Hello,
I'm trying to setup an ADSL-connection to the internet with my linuxbox.
The script to achieve this works when I start it manually. When I want
to start it automatically (via a symbolic link in rc.2 as usual), it
works only sometimes (about 50%?).
When it refuses to work, the hangs during boot and in the logging it
says
Feb 21 23:14:33 chello213047014143 pptp[503]:
warn[open_inetsock

ptp_callmgr.c:310]: connect: Connection timed out
Feb 21 23:14:33 chello213047014143 pptp[503]:
fatal[callmgr_main

ptp_callmgr.c:133]: Could not open control
connection to 10.0.0.138
Feb 21 23:14:33 chello213047014143 pptp[502]:
fatal[open_callmgr

ptp.c:283]: Call manager exited with error 256
It seems that the process can't reach 10.0.0.138 (the adsl-modem). But
that is definitely not the case. I have added a ping-test at the
beginning of the script (like "ping -c 1 10.0.0.138 > ~.test.ping"), and
it always succeeds.
Does anybody know what the problem could be?
Kind Regards,
Florian
