Hi there!Just a question. I share adsl with my flatmates(2 other) and
we connect through a router (zyxel). 2 of us connect by wi-fi the other
by ethernet. My question is: is the band equally shared by the three of
us...I mean if I download something (Emule never overpasses 30 kb/sec)
are their net performance reduced?
Thanks very much

The short answer is that unless the router interferes, the available
bandwidth is shared depending on the current demand. So if you are
downloading, it will affect the others. This is normally what you want; to
see why, look at it the other way around: it means that when you are *not*
downloading their performance is improved.

What do you think ?
You seem to have answered your own question.

I don't think you've phrased your question very well but If I read you
correctly and you have one pc directly connected to the router and the
other two connected by a wi-fi point that is itself directly connected
to the router then at worst case the two wi-fi users would get 25% each
with the ethernet connected pc getting 50%.
