ADSL router with port isolation?

Hi All,

I think I spotted an ADSL router the other day that had a tick box
that I believe 'isolated' each of the ethernet ports from each other?
I think it might have been called 'gaming mode' or summat? (can't
remember the make / model though)?

Would this would allow all users to access the internet but not each
other (which is what I want).

If this is the case, if I hung a hub off one of the ports should I be
able to provide sharing between these PC's whilst still isolating
machines on the other router ports?

I'm looking for makes models here please ..?

All the best ..

p.s. If a router didn't have this as a straight global option, what
fields would it have to have to provide the same function (isolating
ports from each other whilst still allowing access to the WAN port)
please?

Nice, but ~£600! (£125 on eBay might be dooable though ...) ?

Cheers Mark ;-)

p.s. Does it have a decent user friendly interface or will I also need
the Borg implant to configure it (as with other Cisco kit)?

There are GUI setup tools such as SDM and CRWS, which are available from
the Cisco site; however individual switch port configuration can only be
done from the command line as far as I know. (I've only ever used cli ;-) )

Draytek 2600plus has a VLAN option for each of the 4 Ethernet ports. How
well it works I couldn't tell you as I haven't used that option.

73's Phill H

Works just fine here.

I believe the Ozenda http://www.ozenda.com/ also has the same
function.
