ADSL Router that logs bandwidth usage

I'm ready to replace my Wifi ADSL Router, and looking for one that
logs bandwidth usage -- either displaying how much has been used by
each connected PC, or emailing a PPP0 bandwidth log every 24 hours. I
realise I could do this with CLI, but I want a router that works for
me, not the other way around. If it requires logging software to be
installed on a connected PC, I'm not interested.

The Netgear DG834N might just fit the bill. According to the manual,
it will email "router operation" stats which include "start up", "get
time" and "sync" speed, "etc." to a specificed address -- but does
that "etc." include bandwidth stats for PPP0? I don't suppose anybody
here has a DG834N, and knows the answer to this question?

Given the limitations of BT's IPStream product and the increasing
prevalence of FUP/AUP broadband products in the UK as a result, I'm
amazed more router manufacturers aren't using bandwidth monitoring to
make their products more attractive to buyers.

I'm currently using the custom firmware from routertech.org on my
ancient wifi router as this has a feature called 'IP Accounting',
which logs bandwidth used by each connected computer. But I'm hardly
gonna install that on a brand new warranty-protected router, even if
it happens to be perfectly compatible.

Look into SMP logging - lots of freeware programs can connect to it & I've
seen £30 routers with it.
