Hi,

I have a user that dials in with a modem to our Exchange server to
sync email. He will also be getting an ADSL connection.

The Exchange server only has dialup.

How can I configure his computer to use the ADSL connection for the
Internet but the modem connection to connect to the Exchange server
simultaneously?

Thanks,

Peter

it is better and secure to use VPN.

Peter,

As I understand it you want your user to be able to access the internet via
ADSL and not loose this access when a dial-up connection is made to the
exchange server. I believe if you go to the advanced tcp/ip settings of the
dial-up connection and uncheck "Use default gateway on remote network" this
will work.

I seem to recall another thread that I think you started where nobody
understood your problem. Please let us know if my suggestion helped.

Cleve.

Thanks a lot for both reading the question carefully and coming up
with a solution. I will have to do this through a proxy to be
absolutely sure which connection is being used, but right now I am
pretty sure this is working the way I want.
