What is the best peice of equipment for connecting a single pc to ADSL.

I have used BT Voyager 100 - totally crap
now use Connexant access runner PCI, and starting to exp. dropouts when the
CPU is at 100%

Its only at 100% for 2/3 secs but its a enough to lose the connection for a
short while, which is frustrating when you download something you have to
queue for

any help would be great TIA

I used an AccessRunner for ages, with NO problems whatsoever. Was infinitely
better than the green BT mushroom thing that got chucked out. Solution is
'obviously' - don't run yer CPU at 100% ;-)

It drops the connection after the CPU has been at 100% for 2-3 seconds?
The only time my AccessRunner PCI drops the connection is /occasionally/
when I'm playing Enemy Territory. Other than that it's great. Get the
latest drivers off the "Amigo" website.

i have AccessRunner PCI and i run seti cli client with setidriver and
setispy, subsequently my CPU always runs at 100%.

i rarely experience dropped connections except when my isp is having
problems!!!
