Hi guys/gals
I have a SAR715+ router.
When i type the command adsl show perf, it comes up with this
Downstream :
Noise Margin : 36.5 dB
Attenuation : 4.0 dB
Output Power : 20
Upstream :
Noise Margin : 11.5 dB
Attenuation : 11.0 dB
Output Power : 9

I was reading a previos post and they were saying they were getting 45-65
noise and around 13 or so db
Do i have to add the upload and download together??? If i do, is the below a
fairly good line????

Noise margin 36,5+11.5 = 48dB
Attenuation 4+11 = 15dB
Output Power 20+9 = 29

Cheers

Gareth

Nope i live about 500 meters from it.

Gaz

I had a fault with the line this morning that meant when i received a call
it made a constant ringing noise rather than the usual.
Placed a fault call to BT at 11:30.
They were at my house at 1:15 this afternoon.
