ADM8511

Hi,

Is anybody using or has anybody used the USB-to-LAN ADM8511 Pegasus II
Ethernet on a Unix OS?

If so I need your help.

I have a laptop on which I installed MEPIS with KDE. I need to connect
it to a Netgear DG834G router (which is already working fine with my
desktop with Windows XP).

If on the laptop I set the eth0 for dhcp I cannot even start it. But if
I set it for a static IP I can start it, although I cannot access the
router and the router does not see my laptop.

If any of you can help me I would much appreciate it.
