Hi!
Running small network with 2 Windows 2003 servers. One is our mail
server which has port forwarding from a Linksys VPN router for
Exchange as well as port forwarding to our data server for remote
access and the mail filter. We are adding another remote application
on the data that requires using port 443 like the mail server, so I
added another static IP address and another router. So, I have the IP
addresses coming in through an Ad Tran T1 modem, then to a plain
switch, which then connects each of the 2 routers. Each router is
setup with one of the static IP addresses we were assigned. The first
router continues to function forwarding to the 2 servers to run those
services. I am, however, not able to do any forwarding from the other
router. I can ping it from the outside and can access the server from
the other router.
Is there something I am missing that is not allowing this second
router to forward requests from 443 to the other server (DHCP,
gateway, DNS. other)? I have verified it is not the hardware or any
restrictions on the server (can telnet from the other router and have
replaced the router to verify it was not a port issue). Not really
how to proceed at this point. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
