Hi All,

I have a computer in one room and an other in the other room, i have the
internet on one of the pc's which the client can access, i'm using a
crossover cable and would like to add another pc (but only for plug and play
kinda thing) as it will be comming and going, which is the best way to do
this also cheapest, is it possible to chuck another NIC in the client pc and
add the 3rd that way so all 3 can use internet and play games between the 2
in the client side room...
Sorry if thats hard to understand but i tryed :-)

Regards,
Seb

1. get rid of the crossover
2. By a cheap hub or switch
3. Connect the two perminant machines and leave a 3rd cable in place for the
third machine.

Can i add my USB ADSL modem to the hub so that each computer can use the
internet without one of them having to be on?

No - you need a router for that, and they usually require an ethernet
connection to the modem. Alternatively you can get routers with built-
in modems.
