Pretty simple. If you're on Windows XP, you can look in Help and Support
for details, but the basics are to right-click the printer on the system to
which it is connected and select to Share it.
On the other system (presumably the notebook), go into Printers and Faxes,
select Add a printer in the left pane, then Next on the first screen, click
the radial next to A network printer, or a printer attached to another
computer, then Next again.
The next screen will have Browse for a printer selected, and again you click
the Next button. The next screen will automatically search for Shared
printers. If it only shows the machine to which it is attached,
double-click the machine name to expand the listing, then highlight the
printer and select the Next button again.
