Neither, think about getting rid of the router and upgrading to a
wireless one. Nobody buys a standalone WAP, therefore they are extremely
expensive. Believe it or not it's cheaper to buy a router with a built
in WAP than to buy a standalone WAP.
As for the notebook, get whatever you like, you don't have to worry
about compatibility -- they all work with each other.
