No need to disable the base station firewall because that is on the WAN, not
your LAN. When you go to set up the new laptop, just make sure you're
running Wireless Zero Configuration in Control Panel/Administrative
Tools/Services, and then go into Network Connections and Create a new
connection with your wireless turned on.
If there are other devices showing in there, make sure the aren't active
(right-click, Disable) and they're not bridged (right-click, Remove bridge).
If you're running DHCP on the router, it should be a piece of cake.
