adding a laptop ?

HI,, I have a desktop XP Home Edition/SP2 connected to a new router, keeping
desktop wired, I will be adding a laptop wirelessly that is Windows Media
Center E 2005..
I don't believe I will need to do any file sharing between these 2
computers, just need to have a wireless laptop added .
Does it make a difference having 2 versions of XP ? Home and Media Center
2005 ?
