I have a mn 500wireless base station and a mn520 wireless
adaptor for my laptop. I had another desktop connected
via a trendnet tew-223pi, but it has been disconnected for
a while. I bought another desktop, moved the adaptor to
it, and can't seem to get it connected to the network.
When I run microsoft broadband networking utility install
cd, it doesn't detect the base station. I have the
correct settings on the tew-223pi in terms of ssid wep
number etc, and the strength is good. I haven't set this
up in a while, so I think I am missing a step, or doing
them in the incorrect order.
What I did was install the card, install the software,
entered the settings, got good signal strength, and tried
to install ms broadband networking cd, to hook up internet
wirelessly and this is where the problem lies. Any advice?
