I have MN500 base station with a desktop connected via
Ethernet cable, another desktop connected wireless with
USB adaptor and a notebook connected wirelss via PCMCIA
card. I want to add another desktop via Ethernet cable.
The new desktop has XP. The user guide inicates I can
hard wire up to 4 PCs but doesn't really say how to do
this. Do I just load the CD and use the setup wizard? I
want to make sure I don't mess up connectivity to the
other machines.

Hi,

The simplest way would be to plug the cable into the base
station (port 1,2,3 or 4), and reboot the PC.
It should work. If not, see the manual for instructions
and you'll be fine.

Ra,

First on the WinXP PC, "View your network connection".
Under "Properties" highlight the Intenret Protocol TCP/IP
and click "Properties" here. Set the TCP/IP to "Obtain
IP...". Save this setting.

Then, when you now connect the ethernet cable to your
base station, its DHCP server should recognize the new PC
and assign it a dynamic IP.
