Boy, talk about a zero-information question. Let's start by asking
what operating system, and if a *nix, what distribution/version. Then
a two line description of what your local network looks like (how are
things connected). Then tell how many network cards are installed
in each system, and what are the addresses in use. How are these
addresses assigned - DHCP, static? And finally, what "tools" are
you using to configure things - is this some GUI tool where you just
click on icons (which tool, which icons), or are you using a dumb
text editor to directly edit the configuration files?
