Wifi (802.11b) runs at 11Mbps optimally. Realistically, you'll get about
1/2 that. USB, PCI, or even 10Mbps ethernet will easy handle that
bandwidth. After that, its just a matter of who makes the wifi device and
how well they did it. You could probably trust Orinoco, Linksys, and Dlink
to make high quality cards. Of course, those $30 ones out there are
tempting. YOur best bet is to buy one from a store like Circuit City (in
U.S) or Futureshop (in CAN) that gives you a 30 day return policy.
