hi guys,
i'm doing my final yr degree project on ad hoc wifi networks.
Basically i've got 3 pc's. 1 of them is next to an access point but
the other 2 arent. I'm not sure how to route data packets through the
2'nd pc so that it reaches the 3'rd pc. I've been told i need to
fiddle with routing protocols. I don't know how to go about solving
this problem. I would be extremly grateful if anyone can help me out.
Thank you very much !

I would assume you need a router or a gateway computer that has software
such as host based FW the controls DHCP that can route traffic.

I could be wrong.

Google is your friend.

Route add ip mask gateway metric

ip = ip of 3rd pc
gateway = ip of 2nd pc
mask = network mask
metric = probably 1

With "route print" you get a list of current route's

OR configure your standard gateway this way.
Thus it will relay the packets for all systems
on the network.
