Browsing has nothing to do with AD or trusts. The computer browser service
comes from NT and uses Netbios names and LAN broadcasts. To get it working
over routers or a WAN usually requires an integrated WINS service (ie
either all machines using the same WINS server or the WINS servers
replicating). WINS allows the browse masters to communicate across the WAN
and build a network-wide browse list.
