Also depends on distance. I'm connected to an 802.11b AP which is ~300
meters away. The AP is connected to a 600Mbps optical backbone so my
Internet speed is limited to the wireless connection performance. The
link caps out at 4,5Mbps (theoreticaly 802.11b is 11Mbps). When I'm next
to the AP max speed of 7Mbps.
