Active Directory complaining about DNS

On my Win2k3 "Basic" Server, the server claims that my primary DNS complain
"RCODE_NOT_IMPLEMENTED", and then I chose to allow my own server to use its
own static IP as its DNS, and this is fine. After it is assigned as my DNS
however, Active Directory won't function.
Does anyone know what this means?
