Hi,

I'm going to install and activate NTL broadband for my Dad tomorrow.
Can anyone remind me of the URL to go to so that we can activate it
without having to install the NTL software- I'm going to connect the
Cable modem straight to a router using ethernet.

I think it's something like register.autoregister.net but I can't
remember exactly.

Thanks,

Tony

last time I installed an NTL connection it was start.ntl

But going to any root domain worked too
(so going to www.google.co.uk would do it, but www.google.co.uk/whatever
would not.

Sparks...

I doubt it as he has been told with others that his opinions do not express
those of NTL and he hasn't put a disclaimer. If used in works time then he
is breaking his employment contract. NTL hire and fire all the time, so I
would suggest he doesn't have anything to do with NTL.
The only people that work for NTL can be found on www.chetnet.co.uk under
the forum section. They are the real experts on everything cable.

He does. Though he's from the other camp - Telewest. If what you state
is true, Telewest obviously has different rules. However, he did he
state an opinion, so why would a disclaimer be needed?

No I'm not.

I've been working at Telewest and now, ntl: Telewest for almost 9
years so I hope I do have something to do with the company!

This is incorrect - there are also staff members (including support
members - although this is currently rolled out on the ex Telewest
network only at this point) across newsgroups.
