Dear networkers,
I intend to access a wireless router configured as a DHCP server.
I installed on my SuSE 9.0 laptop the experimental driver (acx100) for my
recently bought WLAN card DWL 650+ by D-Link and set up the net configuration
accordingly (see below). When starting the network services, the system
indicates that the router is found (ifconfig & dmesg give the correct entry
point) and that the association request ist accepted. I don't have any network
connection though (tcpdump indicates nothing).
My neighbour successfully configured the connection on his Windows-PC, so I
think the router is OK. I have also no connection problem to DHCP servers via
cable ethernet, so I think I haven't messed up the net configuration. Last,
the card seems able to enter into dialogue with the router, so it should not be
an unsupported card problem...
I'm completely clueless and I am looking for an explanation (at least)
and a solution (it'd be best).
Thank you for your consideration
