Hi,
Not sure if this is the right place but I want to know how to join
the linux box in the Windows AD Environment
I am unable to find anything when I tried to google it. Does anyone
know the exact way of doing it ?
Thanks in advance

You seem to be a Newbie

For File Sharing you will Need

"Samba" and you should Also Get "SWAT"
The Admisistration Tool For Samba
SWAT Is GUI and will make your life musch easier to Handle "Samba"

There is also a very good litlle Program called "LinNeighborhood"

It works and look Like the "My Neighbourhood" In Windows. The
grahicacl Interface is easy to use for Newbies.

I don't know which Linux distro you are using but here is is a Link to
"LinNeighborhood"

You should also search in google for the above mentioned programs and
their Help Info

Good Luck
Charles

I forgot to give you the link for LinNeighborhood
Here it is
http://www.bnro.de/~schmidjo/download/index.html

The Link for Samba is:
http://www.samba.org

The latest Samba Has also SWAT. Earlier re;eases you need to get it
separatelly. As Far as I know All Major Distros Offer SWAT. You
definatelly should get it with Samba

Others have rightly pointed out the links for samba and
LinNeighborhood. Additionally, should you need a short-cut howto, try
this at http://www.linuxheadquarters.com/how...ng/samba.shtml.
