accessing shared files on w2k from w98

When accessing shared files on w2k from w98, I get a "You
must supply a password to make this connection: Resource:
\\ computername \IPC$" message. Following the KB Below
shows "unable to start netlogon on a local machine". Only
works for w2k server not w2k pro.

Unable to Connect to Network Share When Netlogon Service
Is Not Started
(262916) - When you attempt to connect to a Microsoft
Windows 2000 computer over the network, you may receive
one of the following error messages: You must supply a
password to make this connection: Resource: \\
computername \IPC$ -or- computername An extended...

Does the User tool on the Windows 2000 box contain a user with the same name
(and password, if one is used) you start the Windows 98 computer up with?
