Hi all - I have a networking issue regarding being able to access a
server on our network externally. The server has FTP and VPN setup on
it and hosts a website. It has 2 network cards assigned as follows
(these aren't the exact IP addresses):
192.168.1.1 (internal network)
200.200.200.200 (external network connected to modem 200.200.200.195)
From within the network (ie. devices with IPs 192.168.1.x), it is
possible to access VPN, FTP and website using 200.200.200.200 but not
from outside the network. We are also unable to ping this IP. The
200.200.200.195->200 IP address range has been purchased by us, and we
are able to ping the modem externally.
We also have another server setup on a separate domain with IP
200.200.200.196 that may be accessed externally, however this connects
to a separate Firewall computer (Smoothwall) that is assigned
200.200.200.196.
Could anyone please help me on how to allow the server to be accessed
externally. I am suspecting that it is probably just a simple setting
that needs to be changed but cannot seem to find it anywhere.
Thanks in advance.
