I am using an application on my ME laptop which gets
license from a Sun Solaris server through a port
1700@<workstation name> and the license is managed by
Flexlm sofware. This was working fine for last two years.
However very recently I am unable to get access to the
license. The message is "1700@station_name not found". My
network connections are working fine as I get internet and
MS Exchange. The "ping" command to the workstation also
works fine. Somehow the port is not getting identified. I
use Norton and I do not suspect any viral activity. I used
maintenance wizerd recently to keep the system clean.
Can someone help?
