I am using an MN500 wirless router to share the net
with the "fam". My main computer is hooked up with an
ethernet and runs XP. Two boys computers are wireless
and run ME. No problems so far. the wireless router has
the defaul IP of 192.168.2.1. I configured statice
routes on all within the same net of 192.168.2.
Downstairs I have a small study lab with 2 machines
running W2k server and pro. On one I have 2 nics. One
wireless with IP 192.168.2.34 and one ethernet IP
192.168.0.1. I use a crossover to the other W2k with IP
192.168.0.226. The computer with two nics can
communicate with all of the other computers and get to
the net. I finally got RRAS to work so the other nachine
can get to the net. On that one I can only access the
computer it is hard wired to using FQDN and IP address.
It will not reach anything beyond the router using FQDN
but will access them using IP's.
On my upstairs computers I cannot access anything on
the 192.168.0.1 net. WHY? Also the issue with the FQDN
is probably something to do with getting DNS running on
one of the DNS. Am I right???
Here is the Ip Table from the W2K with RRAS
